The instruments used in the FASTER Lab make objective measurement possible. These measurements are carried out at 12-weeks intervals:
players perform the same tasks and exercises under the same conditions during each measurement.The evaluation is prepared for parents and clubs in both graphical format and Excel spreadsheet format. The results of the completed exercises show where the players are positioned in the ranking for that specific task.
The resulting data is used as information. It shows the player’s performance, while the person interpreting the data must also take the wider context into account: whether the player is in competition period, returning from injury, or going through a growth phase, as all of these can influence the results.
These measurement processes are already available as databases for clubs in Western Europe, including Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, France and Belgium. This allows the performance of an athlete of a given age, and in some cases a given position, to be compared with relevant reference data.
